You Will Never Be Done
You will never be done.
That is the truth.
There will always be more to do.
More ideas.
More responsibilities.
More opportunities.
Your list will never be empty.
At first that feels discouraging.
It feels like losing.
You end the day with things unfinished.
You wake up already behind.
And if you are wired like me... that creates pressure.
Guilt.
Shame.
Anxiety.
You start thinking
I lost today
Now I have to do more tomorrow
Now I am falling behind
And the cycle continues.
But what if that is not the goal?
What if the goal is not to finish everything...
... but to be faithful with what matters most
I used to think
if I could just get to zero
I would finally feel peace.
But there is no zero.
There is always more.
And chasing zero will exhaust you.
Here is what changed for me.
I still plan.
I still want to be intentional.
I still want to do a great job.
But I stopped expecting a perfect day.
Because no plan survives real life.
Things will come up.
Things will take longer.
Things will change.
And that is not failure.
That is life.
So instead of asking
Did I get everything done
I started asking
Did I do my best with what mattered most
Did I act with intention
Did I respond to what was in front of me
Did I show up the way I said I would
And if the answer is yes
I can go to bed in peace.
Even with things left undone.
Because the goal is not perfection.
It is faithfulness.
And here is the shift.
When you release the need to finish everything
you stop living under pressure
and you start living with purpose.
This Week’s Challenge
At the end of each day
ask yourself three questions.
Did I focus on what mattered most
Did I act with intention
Did I give my best
Not perfect.
Your best.
Let that be enough.
Go to bed in peace even if the list is not done.
Now let’s go win the week!
