You're Living Your Calling Now
You're not waiting to live your calling
A lot of people think their calling is somewhere out in the future.
It's the business they'll start.
The ministry they'll lead.
The book they'll write.
The role they'll eventually step into.
And because of that, they spend years feeling like they're waiting.
Waiting for the right opportunity.
Waiting for more clarity.
Waiting until they finally arrive.
But that's not how calling works.
Calling is not a destination.
It's a way of living.
Living your calling is not something that starts someday.
It starts now.
Every time you pursue alignment with God.
Every time you steward what He has entrusted to you.
Every time you choose obedience over comfort.
Every time you become a little more Christ you become a little more of the person He created you to be.
You're living it.
The mistake many believers make is believing that fulfillment exists on the other side of a future achievement.
When I get there...
When I accomplish that...
When I finally become that person...
Then I'll be living my purpose.
But what if the journey is the purpose?
What if the process is part of the calling?
What if becoming is just as important as arriving?
The reality is that God's calling on your life will likely continue to unfold.
You will learn.
You will grow.
You will gain new experiences.
You will discover new things about yourself and about Him.
The specifics may change.
The opportunities may change.
The season may change.
But the mission remains the same.
Love God.
Love people.
Become who He created you to be.
That's the called life.
And if you're pursuing those things today...
You're not waiting to live your calling.
You're already living it.
This Week's Challenge
Take a moment this week and ask yourself:
Where am I waiting for "someday" to start living fully?
Then remind yourself:
You don't have to wait for a title.
You don't have to wait for a promotion.
You don't have to wait for perfect clarity.
You can choose faithfulness today.
You can choose obedience today.
You can choose intentionality today.
Because the called life isn't something you arrive at.
It's something you live.
