Do You Have a B.G.G.?
Do you have any Big God Goals in your life?
If you are a high achiever, you always have a goal.
You love to compete.
You love to win.
You are always chasing something.
That drive is from God.
He designed you that way.
It is beautiful and powerful.
But here is the question.
Are your goals in alignment with his?
Because that is where real life happens.
That is what is good and pleasing to your Father.
That is where peace, purpose, and power come from.
So how do you know what the big God goals are?
You need two things.
First, you need a relationship with your Father.
If you want to know His goals, you have to spend time with Him.
You need to hear from Him.
You need to know what He is doing and what He is asking you to do.
There are two simple ways to do that:
1. Read the Bible.
God has already listed out some incredible goals for your life.
They are all there in his word.
It is Jesus in print.
Open the Bible and let Him show you what matters.
2. Pray.
Talk with Him.
Listen to Him.
And refuse to move until you hear from Him.
That is what a mature believer does.
“Lord, what are you doing in my life? What are you asking me to focus on?”
That kind of listening creates clarity.
It also builds trust.
Now what happens when God reveals a Big God Goal?
You will know it is from Him when it is both exciting and terrifying.
Exciting because it hits your spirit.
It feels right.
It moves you.
You can see the impact it will make.
Terrifying because it requires faith.
It pushes you beyond your control.
It forces you to depend on him in ways you have not before.
That is how you know it is God.
He gives you a goal you cannot accomplish without Him.
And when it happens, He gets the glory, not you.
So here is the good news.
God is faithful.
If He gives you a goal, He will help you accomplish it.
He never misses.
In baseball, if you bat .300, you are an All Star.
Do that for a career and you are probably going to the Hall of Fame.
God bats a 1.000.
He hits every time.
Your job is to stay connected to the one who never misses.
This Week’s Action
Pray.
Slow down.
Create space.
Ask the Lord,
“God, what are you doing in my life right now? What should I be focusing on? What is moving your heart that I need to join?”
Then listen.
If you do not hear anything, listen again.
And again.
And again.
He will speak.
He will place something on your heart.
He will give you a verse.
He will make something clear.
Your best life is on the other side of obeying that big God goal.
