Most people attach anxiety to uncertainty.
If I don't know what's next...
I should worry.
I should prepare for the worst.
I should figure everything out right now.
But what if uncertainty isn't a threat?
What if it's an invitation?
Think about Christmas morning as a kid.
You didn't know exactly what was coming.
But you weren't anxious.
You were expectant.
You trusted that something good was waiting for you.
Somewhere along the way, many of us stopped approaching the future that way.
We started treating every unknown as a problem to solve.
Instead of an opportunity to trust.
The truth is, none of us knows exactly what tomorrow holds.
But we do know the character of the One who holds it.
God has been faithful before.
He has provided before.
He has guided before.
He has opened doors before.
Why would this season be different?
That doesn't mean life will be easy.
It doesn't mean every outcome will be what we expected.
But it does mean we can approach the future with confidence instead of fear.
Not because we know what's coming.
Because we know Who is coming with us.
This Week's Challenge
The next time you catch yourself worrying about the future, pause and ask:
"Am I attaching anxiety to this unknown, or expectancy?"
Choose expectancy.
God has a history of being faithful.
